According to KTXS - 12, the family of an Abilene man is wondering why a person hit him and did not stop to render aid. The hit-and-run happened on Saturday near Forney, Texas and has left the family of the man with many questions. Roy Flores, the man who was killed, had worked for UPS for 29 years and told his family he would retire after 30 years and spend time with his family. 

Police believe that Flores had stopped on Highway 80 near FM 548 because he may have been nauseous. Then he was struck while exiting his truck. His family has stated that he was taking his 18-wheeler to swap out for his personal truck. 

"My grandma said he came home every time around 3 or 4 in the morning, walked through the door. They didn't get that walk through the door that night," said Flores's niece, April Arias. 

The family is grieving and hoping that the guilty party will come forward. 

"You can just go to the police, explain what happened that night. We need closure. We can't accept why you did this but we can forgive," Arias said.
